 Phoenix Park offers an unparalleled cycling experience. Nestled in the heart of Dublin, this sprawling urban oasis spans over 1,700 acres, providing a perfect blend of scenic beauty and historical landmarks.

  • Cycle along the main avenue, which is about 4 km each way. This stretch offers picturesque views of the park’s vast landscapes and historical monuments.
  • Visit the Áras an Uachtaráin, the official residence of the President of Ireland. Although tours inside are limited, the exterior and surrounding gardens are beautiful to explore.
  • Stop by the Wellington Monument, the largest obelisk in Europe, commemorating the victories of Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington.
  • Check out the Phoenix Monument, a Corinthian column topped with a Phoenix bird statue, symbolizing rebirth.
  • Pay a visit to the Dublin Zoo, one of the oldest and most popular zoos in Europe, located within the park. It's a great stop for families and animal lovers.
  • Explore the Magazine Fort, a historic fort located at the southeastern end of the park. Though not always open to the public, it’s an interesting site to see.
  • Stop at the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre for detailed information about the park’s history, flora, and fauna.
  • Visit Farmleigh House, an estate within the park that offers guided tours and has beautiful gardens and a boating lake.
  • Look out for the park’s famous wild deer herds that roam freely, offering a unique and natural spectacle.
  • See the Papal Cross, erected for the visit of Pope John Paul II in 1979. It’s a significant landmark with a great view of the park.
